weber 32/34 air filter housing
I'm just servicing my webber to replace the pierburg carb, and I'm wondering how the air filter housing clamps down onto the replacement carb? The 2e2 has a metal handle that clips over the top to keep it snug, but the weber doesnt have anthing on like that. I have the correct adaptor plate I think, at least the filter housing sits on the carb very snugly.
I have a s-shaped bracket connectd to the top of the carb, which I think lines up with the plug hole on the top of the filter housing, am I supposed to bolt it down through that?
Also on another note, I have a K&N type cone filter which I could fit instead of the standard air filter, would anyone recommend this? Would it just fit on the very end of the existing inlet tube?
sloooowwwly getting there…bring on the summer!!

Yes it is the part, should be a gold type colour, if your weber has all parts with it, look and you should see a grey like washer with a small socket hole in the centre, that is the nut to screw down on the airfilter.

yeah i thought it might be something like this. Unfortuentaly, I got the carb 2nd hand and neither the little washer or the bolt has been included
This diagram (i found a previous post) shows a washer and an M8x12 bolt:
any ideas where I can get these from? I'll stick a wanted post up and see what happens…
cheers dude
