Waxstat and senders

As you probly know from my previous post I have had a lot of trouble with the general running off my car.
I had a look today and the hose that comes out of the waxstat isn't connected to anything, and I can't see were it should go! Also on the gearbox side on the engine there are two senders, one that's blue and is in the side of the block with a yellow wire, then one that connects into the coolant hose with a yellow/red wire. Well this is snapped off! Is this the auto choke control? I will post pics up when my wife shows me how! Lol!

is it the original engine? if so thats odd, the coolant feed for the waxstat comes thru the inlet, to the auto choke then from the autochoke to the waxstat, then to an inlet on the metal coolant pipe round the side of the engine.
