it starts,rev goes to high then it cuts straight away...

hello guys,l just bought mk1 clipper,this car was sitting ages,fuel wasnt coming and l changed fuel filter,pump,fuel is ok now but problem is car starts rev goes too high then cuts off straight away,do you have any suggestion please???

Which carb is fiited to the car? standard carb or has it been changed to a Webber (has a manual choke)?
Is there fresh fuel in the fuel tank?

it has standard carb,l cant see any choke on the car,l put around 10liters fuel but l couldnt drain the tank because l need to take it to lift...thx for reply btw...
