Webber is the one to go for, it does not give anymore power but the car does feel a little more responsive, simple design, easy to set up and reliable.
Just check with carb you have and engine size as the webber has differnet size jets to what engine it's fitted to.

The pooburg is a very good carb in top form but it's so overly complicated that short of getting a proper refurb you'll be chasing faults all the time.
I gave up with my 2e2 and fitted a weber 32/34 dmtl.

if you do manage to get it workign you wont regret it! trouble is spares not so easy to find. when i wrote that guide many years ago there were always 2e2 carb mk2s in scrappy for me to raid for spares, I also bought a couple 2e2 carbs from forum classifieds to experiment on so i caould get a better feel for how they worked was really helpful
