Does anybody know where i can get a starter motor for a 1.5 auto or will any other starter motor be able to do the same job as i am struggling to find one Thanks

It was advised by an auto electrician that it needs replacing not sure exactly what is wrong trying to get it off to get reconned

Have you tried a extention on it or one of those ajust able ends you can use on a rachet, I'm not familiar with the auto so don't know where abouts it is on the engine or is it the same as the gti at the front ?
Sadly it is at the back and also has the exhaust manifold in the way have managed to remove the other 2 bolts but this one is a mare
