Solex carb question

I have the opportunity to have some Solex twin 40's fitted to my Mk2 1.8 driver engined Mk1, problem is someone has drilled the manifold for nitrous in the past.

Any ideas on how I can get rid of the holes? Anybody had to do this in the past?

Ive been told to use self tappers and locktite to fill them.
