Smoke or steam?

The manifold heater can leak and drip coolant onto the manifold.. also oil leaks from the rocker cover can make thier way onto the manifold too..

OR the manifold has cracked!

get a mirror and check between the inlet and exhauist, as above the coolant chanel oring in the inlet can go bad and leak onto zaust. the oring is in the 'hump' between inlet ports 3 and 4

When did you last start the engine? And did you leave it and it continue to smoke, or stop eventually? If its been left a while, sometimes dust/dirt builds up on the manifold and takes 5-10 minutes to clear.

might be any oil residue from breather pipe to airbox dripping between the joint on air filter box which is directly over the manifolds.
Give that a look fella
