hi guys, just wondering if anyone could tell me exactly how you adjust mix on a 1.5 Carb engine. its the origonal carb and at the moment its stinking of fuel while its running, especially when you start it,
im a bit new to thease engines and to be honest im not the greatest mechanic anyway :? so yeh any help would be much appreciated

not sure what type of carb it would have beign a 1.5, have a look at the 2e2 faq. if it looks the same as that then follow the guide step by step before you fiddle with the idle

1.5 carb, is the 1b3 pierburg, it stinking of fuel however does not necerserily mean its running rich (although it may be)
But in answer to your question, theres 2 screws, one is the Air Flow, the big fat one on the bottom front left (facing it) and the other is um….
*digging out carb manual*
Bottom Front right just right of the Part load enrichment pump. Both will adjust your CO2 idle.
But I would suggest checking the Auto choke and/or associated pipes and the Pull down unit.
A common cause is not connecting (or in some cases blocking) the pipe that goes to the airbox.
