Rocker Cover Gasket Replacement

Do I need to use a liquid gasket seal as well as a new cork gasket when replacing the rocker cover gasket i.e loctite, also can I re-use the existing studs if torqued correctly or should they be changed?

shouldn't need to use any liquid gasket and only need to change studs if they are damaged.

You can swap to the later rubber gasket if you get a kit with new slightly longer studs.

Defo go for the rubber gasket upgrade off the Mk3, worth every penny.Available from VW as a kit with the longer studs.
