To be honest I think you would be better with a webber, you would need another manifold and for the extra power you would get would not warrant the expense , you would be better off doing a full conversion and putting a manual box in as well ;-)

Hi, thanks for the replies, the car has to stay auto otherwise i would go down the 20vt or supercharged route. I just like the way the bike carb setup looks and i am not really bothered about power with it being auto. Not overly keen on the weber carb conversion because i want to lose the big plastic airbox and i don't like the pancake filters. But if the bike carb setup is an option then that is the way forward i think.  :D

Bike carb sound nice     twin webber sound good too and  i think will be more realiable and better if been service.
I have 8v with bike carb and spend a lot and time into.now going to twin now on 16v
should do twin in the first place. just wasted time money..but to be honest the bike carb setup give me the confidence i needed for my new project
hope did confuse u

Buy carbs, send to Bogg bros and have em make a manifold up. Or make one yourself if you can weld? Gotta set em up once fitted so it's not really plug and play in all fairness but they sound good!

There seems to be a few folks going on about carb conversions, have a look a some of the other threads, you should find some good info.

Changing the carb was one of my first big jobs on my car. As well as getting the carbs on the car you need to find a suitable linkage, replace the fuel pump with an electric one and fit somekind of pressure regulator.

I found this to be quite costly (my conversion was about £100 - ebay bargain! ) and the other bits cost more.

Still in the process of finshing the conversion to a decent standard.

Projekt Frustration :

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
