hi guys    problems i have with my 82 golf cabby

window wipers do not work
indicators do not flash or come on
temp gauge does not work
horn does not work

any help on what i should be looking out for what relays are ment to be there if anyone has labeled pics of the fuse box area would be great need help with this car i think lol

check all fuses.

a haynes manual should tell you what each fuse is.

check all connections are right and clean.

check that the horn does actually work (just connect it straight to battery quickly)

check that the senders are clean and in contact properly.

more than likely that they are all similar electrical problems…

well i got the car yesturday head lights work and high beam so i think its somethink silly has anyone got a pic of the fuse area so i can see what relays i am ment to have i dont have a manual yet but really need to sort the problems out before monday thanks    ow also pics of engine bays so i can see where things go just so i know its right  :D

well i hope i can find the problem , just if the worse happens and i need it looking at what sort of price would you think i need to pay?

it really just depends who you take it to.  If you find somebody with knowledge of the mk1's wiring, then he could have it all sorted in say an hour?

they have special magical machines that can find the problem straight up, so they may be able to use one of those.  

Maybe up to ?40 + VAT?  :?

Hope this helps….

it may be cheaper going to an electrician of some sort.
