Problems :)
hello there im sure someone can help got a 1.8 carb the problem is the car would run fine then slowly get worse put this down to fueling issue as it would tick over but when you drove it a couple of miles it would cut out ( in line filter empty )and take an age to restart. So i changed the fuel pump and it worked fine for about two weeks and symptoms started again so i changed the little pot on the front checked and cleaned the little bit out that was in tank (fairley New) and blew through the fuel lines to make sure they are all clear and it was running fine for about 2 months and the symptoms started cutting out agan now its pinking and back fireing to add to the list :dontknow: sure someone out there can point me in the right direction

Hi Planman,
Is your fuel filler neck rusted? The rust can fall into the tank, which then gets sucked up and start to cause fuel supply problems.
