Getting a 2nd hand one youu will have to make sure the parts have been replaced which make the peirburg soetimes a funny bugger to sort out.
Weber on other hand there are no electronic componants, new £220 with manual choke which is perfect for the winter months.
I find from my experience of having new webers on any of my vw's they are a very good replacement, easy to adjust if needed, easy to repair.
Put it this way not had one go wrong on me yet.
Anyway good luck in your choice bud, i am sure others will give their reason and opinons of why they choose what they have to help you.
Back to question thou lol, that is a pierburg bud

I was presuming you were asking if you should replace it as a weber, or pierburg.
Looking at the pic now, it is a 2E2 pierburg, which if you follow the guide in this forum section should point to you not needing a new carb anyway
And yes the Weber is veru easy to adjust (and probably best for most), if you havent read the Haynes Carb manual
