pierburg carb auto choke help

i have almost finished doin up my mk1 cab 1.8 8v. got it thru its mot had to pay to get the emissions set but its thru, the thing is is that the engine idles at about 1.5k and i am sure that its down to the autochoke is stickin on

had a look at GSF and they do a choke pull down kit which is about twenty quid, but i havent got a clue where it goes or where the choke is on the carb.

Should be an instruction leaflet with it ? I would have thought .  

Seems Weber replacement carb is the best option when these play up .

As good as sorted this now, after reading a few threads on clubgti i cam to the conclusion it is actually the waxstat !!
