Oil viscosity
I just wanted to check everyones opinion on this- My Haynes manual quotes I should use quite a thick oil- 15w-50 oil but I have used a 15w-40 oil in a recent change. Most folks on here seem to be using either 10w-40 or 15w-40 but I'm a bit worried this oil will be too thin when it reaches 100 degrees temp.
What do you all think?
cheers
Mark.

Thanks
Thanks for quick response ( as my brain is whirring away that I've bought the wrong oil and wasted money. )
was just a bit worried as I have read oil can "shear" it's molecules at high temp and coke up. Was also starting to think the over thinning would lead to engine wear.
Thanks,
Mark
