Oil light on dash randomly comes on

Hi guys I Have had my clipper now for just over a month and ever since I have had it the oil light just randomly comes on and it will start beeping till I let off the throttle I have checked the oil and the wireing and it's all ok so I don't know what it would be can anybody point me in the right direction cheers Sam

It always amazes me that when a warning device operates on a piece of equipment, whether its a car or a 65 ton excavator they automatically assume that the warning device is at fault, rather than, its doing its job and I need to check it!

Couple of things to make sure off first though.
Is your dipstick tube fitted with the plastic orange guide? without it you will be running the engine with far too litlle oil, its unlikely its missing but it does happen.
Are you up to date with an oil and filter change?

If the answer to both of these is yes then a check with a calibrated oil pressure guage is next provided you are absolutely sure the wiring is sound, the only way to be sure is with a multimeter and a resistance check.
I would suggest that if you want to do the repairs yourself then buy a haynes manual, the oil warning and delivery systems on the car are involved/complicated systems (depending on your experience) and your fault could be with any part of it.
