not starting

i have a mk1 golf 1.6 gl convertible it has sat unused for 3 months and i cant get it to start it is not a fuel problem or spark problem it will turnover no probs but just wont start it ran perfectly before i put it off road can any give me an idea as to whats up with it

Is it getting any fuel, check the fuel lines and filter. It could also be damp in there, clean the HT leads and spay some water dispersant.

When I pulled my golf gti out of storage no matter how many times I turned it over it just wouldnt fire, the only way I could get it to start in the end was to bump start it, a few mates have had the same problem too.

As Tian said though, try cleaning up any connections first, has anything been adjusted/played with whilst it was standing, such as the dizzy etc?
