Mark 1 1500 cc and 1600 cc diesel engines.

Can anyone shed any light on the changes between these two power units?  I know that the stroke was increased by 6 mm on the 1600 cc unit but did the crankcase change significantly, in particular the bell housing.  I am wondering if I can interchange these two units on a marine project.
Any information would be gratefully received.

the mounts should be the same and the wiring too, so should be interchangable. i have never seen a 1.5 engine  only the 1.6 but even the 1.9 diesel has the same
