jb conversion

alrite guys. just done a quick search of old posts and cant seem to find the information i need.

basically, my cars going to be going off the road for a long while, during that time im hoping to do an engine conversion.. as it stands its curently has the 1.5 jb engine and this has the big block mounts as far as im aware?

as im crap with welding (i think changing the mounts for a 16v would be a little beyond me).. what engines would just drop straight in on the existing mounts..?

1.8 carb is a good bet. nice easy and straight in. dope as did it a while ago.

You don't need to change engine mounts for a 16V. You would need to sort out the fuelling system though, either converting the engine to carbs or the rest of the car to a fuel system which would work with fuel injection. New fuel lines and an electric fuel pump and its electrics, relay,  etc.
