Intertmittent Overheating

Ive had some heater matrix problems recently, but now its all sorted  It occasionally overheats, especially after a motorway run. it NEVER uses water, even when overheating, has antifreeze in it, and seems to have water in all the hoses when running… Thermostat maybe? any suggestions?

replace the theromstat and also flush the system  :wink:

hi mate, is the pipe between thermostat housing and radiator warm when engines over heating? are your heater problems u aint got no warm air?

If it overheats after a motorway run, is it anything to do with sitting in traffic? ie: could the switch for your electric fan be duff?
