intermidiate shaft ! :(

hello there, i have a fairly big problem on my hands i think ! i have a 18 8v carbed clipper and i went to change my water pump yesterday evening after stripping it all down i removed the middle pulley which bolts to the intermidiate shaft only to find the the tappered part of the shaft was broken and came with the end of the pulley this is not good but my main worry is i cant get the shaft out itself ive unbolted the two 13mm bolts that hold the housing on and the shaft comes about 3 inches out but no more than that can anybody shead some light on this problem cause im pretty desprate now

If memory Serves me right you will need to
 take the engine out to get this out as it is
long and no room cos of the inner wingAlso u will
need to remove the dizzie — but on the bright
Side if u need another shaft PM me I've

You'll def need the dizzy out, make sure you mark it up so you can get your timing right when rebuilt.

Just a word of warning on the dizzy removal, the oil pump drive goes in the bottom of dizzy, you need to make sure it's all lined up right or you could be in some serious trouble. Not knowing this caused me a world of pain and also had to heve my dizzy drive re-pinned as it broke! Doh!

Projekt Frustration :

 White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
