Inlet Manifold Water Heating - Weber Conversion

I've just fitted a 2nd hand weber to my 1.8 clipper, only question I'm left with is the inlet manifold hot water connection, the original 2e2 had a thermal operated diaphram (part of the choke) which is no longer, do I now connect the original heating hose for the diaphram directly to the inlet manifold stub or plug it

If you haven't already guessed I don't have a copy of the installation manual

run a pipe direct from inlet to metal pipe on side of engine

Thanks for that, I wasn't sure if the inlet manifold should have hot water in it all the time
