Ignition problem?
I'm having problems with the idle - when I start the car I must keep my foot on the accelerator pedal. If I release it the car stalls. I changed plugs, vakuum hoses of the carb, air filter, fuel filter, leads and distributor seems to be fine. When I took the spark plugs out they were covered with black powder. Couple of days ago I rebuilt and cleaned carb (pierburg 1b). What else shoud I do to make the car running on idle? Also I found two leads coming from the carb that aren't connected to anything:
Are they must be connected to something? I even started to wonder if I connected all the hoses of the carb corectly. But I doublechecked thousand of times. Anyway where could I find the scheme? I would appreciate any help. I just want my dear rabbit to be fixed.

Could the cracked main jet's head be one of the reasons?
What does this black thing do. Is it good that it is screw all the way in?

I thought that I must check the spark plug wires resistance and the following numbers were recorded (Ohm), multimeter was set to 20k scale:
1 wire-6,40
2 wire-6,26
3 wire-6,34
4 wire-6,85
ignition coil->distributor lead-2,07
Is this normal parameters?
How to check distributor timing settings?
I haven't repair kit for my carb and the carb mechanic didn't mentioned that I need one.
I am planing to change distributor cap ant rotor and spark plugs wires next if the resistance numbers mentioned above isn't good. Is there an exact part number for spark plug wires particular for my or is it just picking wires one by one? Because most of the automotive shops said that they haven't got whole set of wires for Mk1 golfs.
Could this whole problem be related to bad ignition coil resistance? I would try to check this also and post the numbers for your advice.
