how to drain fuel?
Hi,
I have 1976 golf ls carby model..
I can see Right side underneath and there are 2 thin rubber hose connected to 2 thin steel pipe.
I suppose those are the fuel line right?
Is it possible to disconnect one and drain the fuel if fuel isn't too much in the tank?
I need to this for shipping the car.
(car has to be battery diconnected and fuel drained)
please help !

Take rubber off the fuel filler and jack the car up at other side?

you would need to poke the non-return flap open to get it all out of the filler hole, but it'll be very hard to drain it all without takign the tank out. some kind of hand pump would do the trick here remove rear seat take off the round flap and level sender then suck it all out that way. plus gives you the chance to check and clean out any rust in the tank
