Help: Weber 45's and clutch control

Hi,

recently aquired a golf running twin webers which runs fine but my problem is my clutch control on standing starts. When i pull away im bringing the clutch up steady with ample revs but its almost stalling. Do i need to just let the clutch go and engage the engine instantly? Sorry if this is a silly question but im new to world of carbs. That said the sound and performance totally blew me away.

Sounds like they need setting up, you should be able to clutch control it still, probably they're unbalanced or something.

What jet sizes are you running?
What chokes are fitted?
What engine?
