help please

please can you help, ive a mk1 1.3  i was driving along then it died on me, kept turning over but would not fire tried bump starting it ,nothing waited for my dad to tow me home as he got there it started, boxing day same again so i phoned rac they came out and it fired up, that evening same again waited hour for rac but it fired up befofe he got to me same this morning would not start i left it for a bit and it started up,theres new leads,rotor arm dizzy cap theres petrol going through and a spark, can you please help,,,   can the coil be faulty,, thaks for looking

can be the coil,i would try points and condenser first  :wink:

You need to properly look at it when it "fails" to start, and check for spark and fuel (pressure). Might be a blockage in the fuel, which means no fuel, when you stop the engine, the suction goes, and that particular piece of crud drops off the fuel pickup pipe.
