help please, what's this connection in the engine?

It came off there while I was cleaning the engine bay and not sure what it does or how important it is. It's kind of pushed in there - any tipps for fixing it to metal tube there?

any ideas out there? what is that part where the cable/hose is leaving from in top picture?

that its the advance for the dizzy

it connects into the vacum system in your second picture

they are just pushed on but sometime the rubber tube at the end can get brittle and loose

change the rubber tube on either end and push back on
