Help Carb Pierburg 2E2

Took air filter off today and found this Pierburg 2E2, well one like this:

How many more parts am I going to find not attached, I am amazed this car runs at all.

A. Hardly attached at other end ( top of rocker cover)

B. Top hose barely attached to green vacuim ball, Bottom hose not attached to anything, not sure if this is correct !

C. Sensor wire not attached at all found a wire that fits near by god hop it is the right one, same connection and very stiff wire!

Drove home tonight, thinking may have to reduce air intake now!

Think everything that should be attached is now attached and working so hopefully ready to tune correctly!

Do I need to worry about my handy work as complete novice!

Your best bet id to look at the haynes manual as it explains this lot resonably well.

All sorted everything connected, it spent Thursday at local garage being tuned and timed etc. They were quiet impressed with her so chuffed, she is running loads better VerY BiG SmileS  :D

Never realised just how rewarding this would feel, going to spend the winter tidying her up and replace her with a Tin Top next summer!
So if anyone interested I will become a member by next summer and put a ad up on here!  :D

Sorry to hijack your thread but maybe you could help me. I have just taken off the webber air filter and my carb on my 1984 Golf 1.6 GL looks like the one in your pic. Is this a Pierburg carb and if so has this been replaced to the one that came with my car? I also do not have the Green vaccum ball on my car. The 3 holes that it fixes to are there on my car but no vaccum ball. Should I have this on my car. Any help from anyone would be most helpful. Thanks
