head bolt seqence and head bolt settings anyone know ?

anyone know the head bolt sequence and the head bolt settings for my 1990 1.8 carb auto golf cabriolet ? haveing the head skimmed soon as possible but getting my mate to put it all back together. so could someone pass me in any directions for the settings and sequence please ?

Should have said in the last post, it doesn't mention in the manual if new
head bolts should be used on account of the old ones being stretched. Perhaps someone else could comment to let our friend know!

You have to use new head bolts, since they are "stretch" bolts. If you try to tighten them up twice, you'd 'stretch' them twice and snap them the 2nd time!

oh paul, well to be honest being female i have no idea what that means haha. but i will get the matey thats helping me out to have a look at your replys so he will know whats what (i hope) trouble is i dont think he can do it till saturday now so at the moment im carless  8O
