Hard to start ???????

1990 Clipper 1.8 Automatic

When i go to start the car i get nothing but a click sound every time i turn the key and then after a while it will start but struggles to fire has anybody any ideas please. Could it be the starting motor. When the car goes it drives fine

It sounds like pin in starter motor is sticking bud

Many Thanks Took off the starter motor and sprayed it with wd40 its been 2 days and it now starts first time all the time
