GTi HEad onto Clipper with DCOE weber.

Morning guys..
Another question..

I have a GTi head which I am fitting onto my 1991 EX engined 1800cc clipper with a single 40 DCOE carb.
I have plugged the injector holes, properly and professionally with proper purpose made bungs, however.
The Injection head has a 'Injector Air bleed hole/tube' coming out of the head, where in the same place on the clipper head, it had the hole for water feed to the old style manifold.

Do I need to plug this air bleed hole/tube too?
Or can it be left?

Im guessing plug the damn thing, but advice appreciated.

Cheers

cap the pipe off you dont need it, the water chanel isnt needed for a weber so you're ok there. either cut the pipe flush and block the hole or cut the manifold so the pipe doesnt catch it and cap off, whichever is easiest for you

Hi Rubjonny,

Thanks again for advice…always appreciated..
Car being MOT'd this week…rear discs fitted also, and finally this single webber/GTi head and all the trimmings going on.

Should be a nice job when done.

Have made a lovely stainless heat shield to keep the heat away, from the carb (42 Weber DCOE on a LYNX manifold). proper heat wrap to shroud the manifold also, short stack ally trumpets and ITG sock filters finish the assembly.filters
Gti head , all blanked off and skimmed ..
Really looking forward to getting it set up and having a play.

Thanks for you help.
