Fuel Bubbling

Having problems with my weber carb it is the 36 tlp for my 1.5 and recently out of warranty.
On top of the carb towards the front there is a hole on either side and inbetween these holes some sort of release valve next to one of the jets, when the cars running it runs fine on idle, as the car wams up theses two holes fill up with fuel and i also noticed the fuel at this point was bubbling within the carb chambers and carries on filling and eventually fuels starts flowing over the top of the carb when i saw this i turned the ignition off. Once i had turned the ignition off i noticed what appeared to be steam being released from the valve next to the jet in between the two holes i mentioned earlier.
I also noticed there was a leak on the pipe from the fuel pump since then i have replaced this.
When i removed the pipe with leak i noticed that fuel was also bubbling inside the tube of the fuel pump. I sent back the carb he opened and inspected it and said that it was all clean and appeared to be fully working. I have also replaced all fuel lines in the engine bay and bought a brand new fuel pump today which i will be putting on later to eliminate this as a cause.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated as i have been getting help from Peddersgolf and this is something he has never come across with any carb blocks before :banghead:

Cheers

Carl

Its not a sticking needle (or full of crap) valve on the float is it? Not sure how these work but I've got a Carb book with it in.

Someone else had that problem on here a while ago (I had it too but just sent mine back and got a replacement carb) - I don't know who it was or else you could ask them to confirm it, but the problem was not with the needle valve but with the floats themselves having come unattached at one end during transit. If yours is out of warranty I'm presuming it hasn't just been delivered to you but perhaps you taking it on again off again has shaken things about a bit and they've come unhooked?
