EX Engine Code Advice

Hi there, I'm trying to buy a complete engine gasket set for my 1998 1.8 Cabriolet clipper with engine code EX. I cannot find any for this specific engine. Are there other engine codes that are the same? I've found sets for GU, GX, EV etc. will any of these fit?

Was the EX only fitted to the cabriolet and what made this engine different?

The EX was the 90bhp carb engine. Think it was fitted to Cabrios and Scirocco. The same basic block (and gasket?) was used on the 1.8 DX, EV and PB MK1/2 GTI engines. According to the engine list in the link below the 90 carb fitted to the MK2 Golf was GU and I'd guess is the closest match?

Thanks for replying, I too figured the GU would be the closest match. I'll get a gasket set for this engine and hope for the best!
