engine splutters

well folks ,i just got myself a nice clean 89 clipper convertabile ,but ive got a problem ,it starts on the button but when i rev it splutters a bit and when i drive it she starts goin shite ie its like its running on 3 cilenders, any ideias/???

start with the basics. check plugs leads dizzy cap and arm and fuel filter. all service items anyway. get the timing and co checked then have a see from there. car been standing long? could be old fuel in tank, or rust.

As Wooders says basics but also with all this rain check the filler neck might be holed where you stick the fuel in the tank. take the cap off and check :wink:

well folks , ifitted new plugs petrol filters and leads and it worked , ahhh im a happy camper now  ,thanks a mill lads ,
