Engine misfiring

Hello again.

My woes continue with my new (and first) Mk1 1600 auto Cabrio.

It has recently developed a misfire.

This only happens once the engine is warm (after about 4 or 5 miles) and only when I accelerate anything but very softly.
The engine pops 'n' bangs and loses power when I accelerate at the normal rate.

It somehow feels like either too much or not enough fuel or air is going through the carb but may be nothing to do with that.
I have a brand new air filter and new leads and plugs.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, Id be very greatful.

Trevor.

could be sucking air , check vacum pipes . also check the inline fuelfilter , could be sucking up crap from the tank and also get a can of carb and choke cleaner and take the air box off and give the carb a good clean most likley never been cleaned in years and years prob 20 or so , hope this helps.
