EBAY 20BHP modification

guys,

there is a cheap nast mod on ebay which supposedly increases power by telling the ignition that the air intake temperature is cold all the time. Anybody know if this is any good, and can it be fitted to the clipper?

only if your clipper has a digifant engine not the earlier CIS engine

how do i find out if mine has a digifant engine? mine is an EX code.

James - if your clipper has an EX engine then it's a Carb engine and not fuel injection.

waste of money, it'll do more damage than good.


fools the engine into thinking it's getting more air than it is, therefore over fueling. so just makes you're engine run rich and eventually cause some serious damage

You could fail the MOT if its way too rich, high emissions! (Spelling?)

Dont touch with a barge pole. The air intake temp sensor is part of the engines need to know hardware, if its circumvented it wont know what temperature air is coming in. Itd be like you losing one of your senses, and itll lose info about the state of charge which knocks on into fuelling as already stated.

Tho e ebay resistors are the nastiest, chavvyiest, tackiest items ever, dont treat your pride and joy to one.
