drip from pipe....

hi guys,
ran the golf today with new ignition leads and its running like a dream.best for a while!!!
did notice a drip from here………


any ideas what i need to replace/tighten??

hard to see what bit its dripping from. Could be the gasket between head and metal waterpipe corroded or could be the pipe split where the metal clip has worn through it

Also is that a thermostat hanging there. could be the rubbers have gone and needs a new one.
Not the same as mine so i may well be wrong    :?

mine is also leaking from , what i call, the plastic junction. I'm goint to replace mine and grease up the plugs that plug into it when i do it, even feplace any o rings that need doing too.

thats your dash coolant temp sensor, not clear if its the sensor seal oir the flange causing that, so to be safe I'd buy a new flange and 3 new sensor seals, do the lot :)

GSF sells all those bits. if i were you I'd do the flange on the side whilke you're there, maybe give the cooling system a good flush at the same time with a hosepipe and put some nice fresh stuff in.
