daily driver

so i have sold my R32 and only have the cabby i picked up a few months ago. just wanted to see if anyone else has the same niggles i have about this daily lol. when its cold out like NOW mine will start for about 2-3 second then cut out,after 4-5 times of doing this i can keep it running with the choke fully out before i start my drive….after iv sat letting it warm for a few min obviously.i find until its fully warmed and been driving it for a while i can't really pull off without having to ride the clutch and feed the choke is this normal?    1.8 carb clipper

Does not sound normal, I guess the carb has been changed to a Webber as you have a manual choke, do you still have the big plastic air box on the carb and is there a hot air feed from the exhaust manifold to the air box?

Yup Webber carb it's a a G reg so 89? It was more of a chit chat post really but a move would be cool… all seems standard really it has movement in when you lean on it…it's looks abit oily in the carb but only a small amount so might get a can of carb clean 

if the carb is a bit wobbly you may have a split flange underneath the weber adaptor. Make sure the steady bracket on the front of the rocker cover that holds the front of the airbox is still there and the rubber mount isnt split, without that the carb will wobble about too much and split the new flange pretty quick

I'll have a look Sunday if I get chance…if it is split do I just Ebay Webber adapter?

The flange is not a special webber one as webber carbs use the original carb flange.
Theres a few different types so match the new one to yours.
 

aye its inlet -> std flange -> weber adaptor -> gasket -> weber

They look like this, as I said above make sure the holes etc are the same on your car.
