cutting out after changing swirl pot

hi just fitted a new one to my clipper and took it for a drive , got 1/4m down the road and it died at the junction and wont tickover , there is fuel coming in and out no trouble but when i had the bonnet up and reved it , then let it tickover and die i saw bubbles come out and go up the return pipe , should i have bleed it somehow

bubbles means you may have a leak in one of the fuel pipes, i would just replace all the rubber pipes as they're probably past their best. make sure you buy proper fuel line clips too as jubilees just aint good enough

refitted the old one and it was still cutting out going to work , but on way home ran fine and still ok today ?

ok liek i say replace all the rubber lines including the ones under the car. air bubbles means you have a leak letting air into the fuel which isn't what you want

no air bubbles once i changed it back again

hmm is this brand new one you bought or 2nd hand? maybe replacement has a pinhole somewhere
