Con rod bolts HELP! Over tightened..

I have a 1.8dx engine that I have rebuilt.. I have bought new con rod studs and bolts..
I have tightened the bolts to 30nm stage one. And then 90 degrees and then 90 degrees again.

When I had a read of the vw spec sheet the con rod bolts are only ment to be 90 degrees and not 180 as I have done.

Do you think the 90 degrees over tightening be too much? Or should it be ok?

As long are they're not stretch bolts then they should be ok
