Carb problems with my 1.8 MK1..

 
i am a bit sick of this problem and want a permanent fix…
my engine runs very rich ie 1800revs and after driving it about 2/3 mile the engine will cut out (flooded engine) after a minute its fine for another few miles…

what can i replace the original carb with??
i have been told a weber caber with manual choke… does anyone know what the model number is for this and or is there another way to fix this problem??
