CAMBELT change, how much ? is it due ?

just had a look at my cam belt on my 1990 clipper ..
there are some slight splits/perish marks
1/4 mm in depth on some areas of my cam belt..
does this mean change it asap ?

this isnt a job id do myself, so what kind of price can i expect to be charged

Get it changed asap!
If it breaks then you are likely to have major engine damage.
As a rule i would generally change it every 20,000m/2years.  Over cautious on my part, but I had one go once on my 16v and it hurt(???)

They cost around ?6 from GSF plus if you were getting it fitted by a garage - probably an hours labour.

I change the belt and tensioner for ?50 all in when i do them at work

ok no worries, just trying to help  :wink:  go with a genuine cambelt (?9 iirc) and change the tentioner at the same time (pretty sure i paid vw ?18 for mine with discount)

ive been quoted by my fairly trusted techy..
?100 inc P&L to change all belts..
