I have just complete my head gasket change however I have a small query about the cam belt
I have fitted a new belt and tensioner and made sure belt is placed centrally on the cam sprocket. However when I start cart it tracks to the side.
Is this a problem?, I have even tried manually turning engine a couple of times to completely centre the belt.
Pics Below, any idea's/opinions welcome

Hi,
The position of the cam belt will be determined by the position of the tensioner and any external influences, a few pointers.
Assuming you have not taken any of the toothed cam wheels off:
What was the fit like with the old tensioner and belt?
Has the tensioner been fitted fully home? Try putting the old tensioner back on.
I note a rub on the new belt in the middle, is this significant?
When I fitted my belt, the position was OK after a few turns, however it was not run up until some time later.
Hope this helps.
