cabby with a 1.8 carb lump suggestions please

hey there lads, i have a mk1 cabby with the 1.8 carb lump as i said above and until i get the valver dropped in on megasquirt i was hoping to get a bit more out of this lump. Ive got twim 40's in the house with filterking APR and a redtop facet fuel pump as was just wondering if there was anything else i could do to make her a lil bit more fiesty

ive got the same engine mate, and im fitting a cam from a gti, four branch manifold and ive got full system already, also running the webber carb, not sure what sort of power its gonna be at, but you can pick all the bits up cheap enough, if you look about, dnt expect it ever to be a rocket ship, but hopefully should see a nice increase in tourque and bhp.

I have the 1.6 and 1.8 gti cam at home, which one are u running mate??

none as of yet the engines still in bits lol

ohh right, ill av to get on with it when im home in august, ill have my 40's suspension and cams to do! as well as the bodywork!! great fun!!
