cabby bad fuel consumption

does anyone know any reasons to make my 1.8 cabby have bad fuel consumption.it has a weber fitted to it and it only does 25mpg.

Many things can lead to excessive fuel consumption…. fuel leak in tank or hoses, poorly set-up/adjusted carb, worn carb or carb gaskets, ignition system in poor condition/incorrectly set up, poor servicing or a heavy right foot Would have thought you should be able to get 30mpg+.
