auto starter motor help

can anyone help me, my father in law is come down to replace my starter motor on friday on my clipper cabrio 1.8 automatic 1990,  valks parts have sent me a starter motor but on the label it says manual gearbox. after phoning them up they said the auto and manual ones are the same,so can anyone conferm if this is true as i want to be certain for when my father in law comes down.

GSF list them with different part nos but it may only be slight detail differences and they may be interchangable :dontknow:

They're completely different.  Valks Parts (?) are wrong on this occasion.
