Had a problem with my Golf revving away at Idle and it looks like the accelerator cables has seen better days. Managed to adjust it a little to stop it revving so high bu the cable is frayed quite badly.
Now I'm guessing I can't use one from the K-jet engine which seem to flood the market but I can't find any anywhere to the 1.8 carb auto?
Any idea's chaps or does anyone have one stashed away somewhere?!?

a mk2 golf 1.6-1.8 auto accellerator cable will fit if they're any easier to find
Haha! It is indeed a Pooberg! I'm just going to run it like that till its off the road in winter then it will be weber time. Possibly even a set of twins. Mmmm….jayc said
Are you running a pooberg or weber? My pooberg randomly rev'd at idle. Swapped it for a weber and loads better. I did however replace the throttle return spring for a stronger one though as the the stock one was stretched.
