40 Weber Side Draft?

Guys i need a quick reply please!
I just found a Single 40 Weber Side Draft With for cheap and its new!
will it make a difference? in speed plz help!

Assuming you have a 1.5 / 1.8 carb you'd need new manifold, a pair of side draft carbs, linkages, new fuel pump, regulator, filter, eshaust heat wrap and an expensive rolling road session.

Beware, I bought a pair of 40's from a guy, serviced them (genuine weber kit) and the rolling road tuner (a weber dealer) couldn't get them set up to a decent standard properly, he stripped and found that there were no problems with the service kit. It turned out they were from a sunbeam (or something like that) and were modified (from original) by weber for that specific application - eventually by contacting Weber with the serial numbers. I took the plunge and bought 2 new ones - tuned up perfectly within a couple of hours.
