1500cc carb

Hi all,
        my friend's mk1 (black Y plate) is due for MOT next week.
He is only concerned about the emissions and wants to make sure they are fine, it is a 1500cc.
He would like to know where the idle and mixture screw is on the carb.
He asked me, but i haven't a clue as mine as a manual choke keihin carb.
Is there any diagram of the carb onboard the forum, i have had alook around but i have not been successful as yet.
Also so i can tell him, what type of carb is it please

Think they were mainly fitted with Solex carbs, should all be explained in the Haynes manual. Has your mate got a CO gas analyser? You can tweak the idle and mixture in terms of driveabilty, but without a gas analyser you won't be able to tell whether it will pass the emissions test.
