1 problem, and 1 question
How are things going?
Back with another problem and a question. (i have a 1991 1.8 2e2 carb clipper)
1. when i first start my car its revs up then cuts out, then after starting it again it idles between 500 and 900 for about 5 minutes. Anyone got any ideas of why? i have changed the o'ring and checked the vac pipes which are all good.
2. i recently had my car serviced and on the service i was told my auxillary belt was perished, what is the auxilary belt? also how hard is it to change and where wwould i be able to get my hands on one?
Thank for the help in advance. hopefully one day i shall be able to provide my input on some of these problems.
Thanks,
Luke

doddle to fit, remove 13mm bolt from altenator, remove adjuster and loosen alternator, remove old belt, fit new one and tighten up alternator, pop in adjuster again and bolt back up, job done about 10mins work, you may have to adjust bar tooPenni said

It comes with the inlet manifold adapter plates, spacers for the air filter support brackets, Choke cable, etc. You will need a new rubber mounting flange unless your existing one is pretty good/perfect condition
The Manual and Auto box carbs are slightly different in the way that the accel cable attaches (to accommodate the Kick-Down feature of Auto boxes) so make sure you request the correct carb.
Webcon are the distributors - I don't think they sell directly to the public:

btw, imho The Weber is an order of magnitude better than the Pierburg

Thanks for clearing up the whole auxillery belt question. i don't see why they would bother to change the name of it!
Yeah i was looking into a weber but just dont have the money at the moment, plue the 2e2 seems to run fine after the first couple of minutes, just need to try and find what is causing the first cut out.
Thanks,
Luke
